Mode is releasing a few new classical CDs in October and November, not to mention a number of recent releases that currently available.

A Czech Drumming Festival is touring across that country. Among others, Pavel Fajt and Chris Cutler are featured.

Jazz Times has a couple of short reviews of new (AEoC) and upcoming (Revolutionary Ensemble) recordings on Pi.

As described in a blog entry, the Toronto Symphony is no longer going to include “new” classical music in their performances of traditional pieces. Instead, the new music will be played in standalone performances in the Spring. A good idea?

New World Records is a label worthy of some attention. Their catalog includes releases from Ives, Partch, and many other familiar and not-so-familair names.

“Brutal” is the word being used to describe these guys and its not too far off the mark. Their site has been updated with information on their new album as well as tour dates.
